Post Surgery

Delilah's surgery for her luxating patellas went well.  We were able to take her home tonight.  She's exhausted and has been making these sad little whimpering noises.  Both of her legs are completely shaved and it looks like she has naked chicken legs.  I don't think she'll be getting off of her bed tonight.

  1. Oh, you dear little sweetheart, I hope you are feeling better soon. It's so hard to see our dogs out of sorts like this. Sending healing thoughts her way.

  2. Lots of AireZen and healing vibes are heading your way, Delilah!

  3. Hari OM
POTP x 87 to you Delilah! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  4. I hope she's healing up well from her surgery. Are you guys going to be doing swimming therapy or anything during recovery?

    1. It's been about a month since her surgery and she's been using her hind legs more. She's allowed to go on short walks and I bought her a kiddie pool that's deep enough for swimming. The surgeon had said he doesn't think she'll need PT because 1) tiny dogs tend to recover really quickly on their own and 2) she's so uncomfortable with strangers she probably won't do well with a therapist touching her.
We're going to a check up next Monday so I'll definitely be updating!
